Kelly Smith has been dancing since the age of 7, studying ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop techniques. Prior to joining the Arena Dance Pros Staff, Kelly was a member of the Philadelphia KiXX Dance Team for two consecutive seasons. She was also involved in numerous small productions of the Nutcracker Ballet, the Boscov’s Thanksgiving Day

Parade, and the Sunoco 4th of July Welcome America Parade. While attending college, Kelly was a member of the Penn State Abington Dance Company, which gave her the opportunity to perform throughout the year at various events within the community and participate and choreograph in their own independent productions.


Kelly finds that teaching hip hop technique classes to be her specialty. Her desire to learn and dedication to dance is evident, as she continues to take weekly classes herself at Joy of Motion Dance studio, Koresh School of Dance, Broadway Dance Center as well as attending a number of conferences in New York City. This enables her to share her seasoned ability as well as the newest dance techniques with her students. Kelly’s personal goal is to encourage each dancer to not only gain more technique, but to allow their personality to shine through while performing. In addition she follows she advice of a professional dancer and shares this philosophy with her

students: Life is a dance from one stage to the next...You never know which way things will turn out…"!


Kelly Smith currently resides in the Washington, D.C area and is a dance teacher for various studios. She is also a graduate of Penn State University, where she earned her bachelors degree in Corporate Communications.
